● Grade 5 titanium bezel 

Inspired by the elliptical windows of aircraft, the robust and generous silhouette design of LB024 has become the largest visual symbol on the LB024 watch. The grade 5 titanium bezel has a large symmetrical arc-shaped bezel window structure, with a slanted and recessed design. The difficult processing characteristics of five-grade titanium becomes one of the biggest technical difficulties in the manufacturing process, and finally supplemented with sandblasting process, so that the bezel exudes different layers at different angles. 

● Sapphire

The scratch proof sapphire glass is mildly protruding and has a large arc, slightly raised from the titanium bezel, with the effect of a small pot lid to observe the internal structure of the watch more intuitively. The  sapphire is made with a noble purple anti-reflective film applied internally to reduce light reflection enhanced by the addition of a fingerprint-resistant coating on the surface so that LB024 is free from oil stains. 

● CarbonTPT case 

The case is made from an entire block of CarbonTPT carbon fiber carved by 5-axis cnc, ensuring that the weight of the entire watch head is reduced to an astonishing 24.95g while not losing rigidity. With more than 300 layered carbon fiber, carbon filaments are arranged at a specific angle in each layer, resulting in a sparkling luster. The complex mid case design is the biggest challenge for the LB024, resulting in two sets of load-bearing devices in the movement frame. When the watch is subjected to a violent impact, the load-bearing pillar can break off to protect the movement from damage. As a result, the production wastage rate of the mid case is more than 80%. After five months of adjustment and testing, we finally achieved the desired effect. 

● Movement 

Capsule Concept equipped the LB024 watch with a manual winding movement, which is a custom movement consisting of copper, aluminum, titanium, and other metals, with a vibration frequency of up to 28,800 times per hour. In addition, the movement is equipped with a miniature barrel, with a power reserve of 46 hours which can be quickly charged by simply rotating the circular carbon fiber crown clockwise. The exposed barrel at 12 o'clock allows us to observe the energy storage in real time and when the springs are tightened towards the center, the power reserve is full. The entire movement is combined with a layered frame around it, like an extraterrestrial planet settlement fortress. Special point to add, although it’s manual wind, we’ve enhanced the movement such that the crown doesn’t lock up even when maximum power reserve is achieved. This enhancement reduces the common error of breaking the stem when overwinding. 

● Protection 

Due to the characteristics nature of carbon fiber like any another carbon watches, water is not too kind to the material. However we have internal proper and tested waterproofing seals to ensure daily common usage. Wecame up with an idea to identify when water vapors has entered the internal structure. Two Y-shaped color-changing screws. Under improper use resulting in water vapor entering the watch, the two screws will discolor before the movement is affected, this will enable customers to timely discover and send the watch for service before prolonged damage is caused. 

● Bracelet 

We chose Alcantara as the standard material, the unique texture of Alcantara is extremely light, combined with the velcro design it eliminates the problem of fiddling with traditional buckle and pin. With the design the strap can be infinitely adjusted in size, combined with the ergonomic curved bottom cover, it is more suitable for everyone's wrist. 

● Watch holder 

The traditional watch packaging has nothing attractive to offer therefore we put a lot of effort into the housing of the watch. We want a holder that is also a display that is not left to gather dust in a corner. Simply choosing a traditional square box and slapping our labels does not cut it for us. The design of the box began with the design of the watch and after abandoning 7 designs, we finally chose carbon fiber with the same texture as Koenigsegg to create the tube. 7075 aluminum alloy as the restraint at both ends, filled with high-density sponge with LB024 wrapping around it to be placed either horizontally or vertically. Before the customer receives the watch, the carbon tube has already shaped the strap thus enabling the owner to immediately wear it comfortably. 

LB024, as the first work of Capsule Concept, brings together the pinnacle of brand design, craftsmanship, materials, weight, and concept, after three years of refinement, it finally reveals its maiden appearance. We will continue to strive and improve in all aspects and bring more and more captivating designs in the near future.
